It seems like there is an update on google's methods every week. Do you become confused and frustrated with all the changes? I know I do, and it is a big job to keep up.

| 4. | Google SEO Starter Guide - this pdf document covers what you need to know to get started maximizing your web sites optimization and findability. |
Although google is a search engine, it is so much more. Do yourself a favor and get to know as much as you can about google expectations for your web site.
Google Local
Google Local is part of the search directory and is a huge MUST if you have a business online. Many people search for businesses in their area. Why shouldn't you get a peice of that pie?
Adding your site to Google Local isn't hard, but it is a bit convoluted. Here is how you go about it:

| • | Go to Google Business Solutions. |
| • | Sign up for an account, or sign in. Return to the Google Business Solutions page when you are finished. |
| • | Click on Google Places. |
| • | Click on Add a Business. |
| • | Enter the required information, follow the instructions on the screen. |
| • | You will have to verify your business, either by phone or with a post card. |
| • | When you receive your verification, click the verify link or enter the url on the postcard. Then enter your verification number. |
| • | You can create coupons and so forth to bring more customers. |
| • | Keep your listing up to date, make sure your phone, address, email is always current. |
